News

Justin Thomas’ torrid pace continued at the ZOZO Championship, as he shot another 65 in second round play today. He’s the solo leader at -14, one shot ahead of the field. Here’s what JT had to say after the round.

News broke late Friday night that Eryk Anders would replace the injured Andreas Michailidis in a November 14 bout versus Antonio Arroyo in Las Vegas. It will be Anders’ first fight since May.

In a bit of a surprise, Taylor Guilbeau has a new team, the Arizona Diamondbacks. Guilbeau was one of a half-dozen players on Seattle’s 45-Day Injured List, and Seattle was faced with having to put those players back on the 40-man roster once the World Series ended, or waiving them to put them on a minor league roster. In Guilbeau’s case, the Mariners chose to waive him to assign him to a minor league team within the organization. Arizona claimed Guilbeau, so he’s now a member of the Diamondback organization.

Nick King has had a whirlwind couple of days, signing with Tigrillos in Colombia on short notice as an injury replacement, then making his Colombian debut today hours after arriving in the country. King had 39 points and 7 rebounds for Tigrillos in the 80-62 win. King’s stint in Colombia won’t be long – the Colombian league is doing a bubble tournament similar to what the NBA did, with the regular draw ending on November 10. King’s first basket today is in the clip below.

Merel Van Dongen and the Dutch National Team clinch a spot in the UEFA European Championship with a 7-0 win on Estonia in group play. The Netherlands are now 8-0 in group play.

Here’s the audio from Dalvin Tomlinson’s media availability today.

Julio Jones also had a media session today (video in link). Julio confirms that going hard at practice is “an Alabama thing.” Julio also talks a lot about interests outside of football.
