Collin Sexton scored 24 points tonight, marking his 12th consecutive game (dating back to last season) in which he has scored 20 or more points, and the 7th consecutive game to start this season. The 7 straight 20+ point games to start a season ties a franchise record, set by LeBron James in the 2004-05 season. Sexton’s continuity with the torrid pace in which he finished last season is getting noticed.

Josh Jacobs was involved in a single car accident in the early morning hours in Las Vegas. He was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries, then booked for DUI at the Clark County Detention Center. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 8, and his attorney released a statement that Jacobs plans to enter a plea of not guilty.

Quinnen Williams did an exit interview with the New York media today, in which he discussed what he wants to do in the offseason to come back stronger in 2021 and the leadership role that he wants to take on next season. He also lights up when he sees a PS5 in one of the reporters’ rooms.

Dalvin Tomlinson, who will enter free agency in March, did what could be his final media session with the Giant beat today. Tomlinson expressed how thankful he’s been to have played for the Giants.

Jalen Hurts also had a media session today (video linked).

Derrick Henry has been nominated for FedEx Ground Player of the Week again. In other nomination news, Collin Sexton was nominated for Eastern Conference Player of the Week in the NBA.

Teams that didn’t advance to the playoffs can start today signing players to Reserve / Futures contracts, which includes the signed players on the teams’ offseason rosters once the new league year begins in March. Carson Tinker and Saivion Smith were signed to such deals today.

Mo Williams has had to step away from coaching duties at Alabama State temporarily as a result of a positive COVID-19 test.
