After a rollercoaster day yesterday that left him at T-107th after one round, Robby Shelton shot a 64 at the Farmers Insurance Open today, placing him at -7, T-8th, two shots back. Shelton’s 64, which was low round of the day, includes 9 birdies and a bogey.

Detroit News notes that Spencer Turnbull seems to be poised to ascend to ace status with the Tigers.

Buster Olney of ESPN reports that Alex Avila’s deal with Washington is worth $1.5 million in 2021. Olney adds that Max Scherzer, Avila’s former battery mate in Detroit, was instrumental in Washington making an offer.

Mac Jones was voted on as top quarterback as part of the practice player of the week awards at the Senior Bowl.

Gang Green Nation discusses Quinnen Williams as one of the core pieces for the New York Jets.
