Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week – Alana Gonçalo Da Silva (Feb 1)

In honor of National Girls and Women in Sports Day this week, Our Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week is Alana Gonçalo Da Silva. Da Silva had season highs of 23 points and 9 assists in 36 minutes, as Melilla La Salle scored a season-high 85 points on Saturday.

Runner-up this week is JaMychal Green. In two separate games this week, Green had his first double-double as a Nugget (15 points / 10 rebounds), as well as a 17 point / 8 rebound game. The 17 point game matched a season high.

Others of note:

Retin Obasohan had a 15 point / 6 assist / 6 steal game, and a 21 point / 5 assist game.  The 6 steals matched a career high.

Collin Sexton had a 29 point / 5 rebound / 5 assist game in a Cleveland win.

Justin Knox had a 12 point / 9 rebound game in a Wonju win.

Daniel Giddens had a season high 14 points, along with 7 rebounds in a Neuchâtel win.

Jereem Richards won the 200m race at the American Track Series.

Olivia Fotopoulou set an indoor personal-best at 7.37 seconds in a 60m win in France.

Alex Amankwah set an indoor personal-best of 2:22.41 in a 1000m in Virginia.

Robby Shelton finished T16 at the PGA Tour event at Torrey Pines.
