David Robertson shares why he chose to play for Team USA this year, citing his experience in the last World Baseball Classic as part of the motivation. Robertson also apparently passed on some major league offers in the offseason.

C.J. Mosley appeared before the media today for the first time since opting out of the 2020 season. Mosley talks about how he rehabbed during his time off, his decision about opting out, and how he’s got a lot to accomplish in 2021.

The Atlanta Falcons reportedly have an offer on the table for Julio Jones that includes a future first-round pick, and the sense from league sources is that a deal will happen as soon as next week.

Alex Leatherwood is already making an impression with Raider veterans.

New York Met manager Luis Rojas says that Tommy Hunter’s trip to the Injured List was mostly a precaution because of his previous back history, and that Hunter could be back sooner than expected. Hunter is eligible to be activated on Saturday.

Wade LeBlanc exercised the opt-out clause in his contract with the Milwaukee Brewer organization, and is now a free agent. LeBlanc’s last outing with High-A Nashville was 6 shut-out innings, yielding only 2 hits and a walk, while striking out 4.

New England veteran Kendrick Bourne says that Mac Jones has a swag about him that he didn’t expect. Coach Bill Belichick says that Jones is already ahead of the game when it comes to learning the playbook.

Nick King and Zorg en Zekerheid Basketball Leiden won the Dutch Basketball League championship in a three-game sweep over Den Bosch.

Justin Coleman has been hired as an assistant coach at Thompson High School in Alabaster. Coleman most recently was a graduate assistant at Arizona.

Former Alabama volleyballer Abalonle Onipede has been hired as an assistant coach at Lee College.
