Portious Warren became Alabama’s 22nd Olympic participant, as she was officially added to the Trinidad and Tobago roster today. Warren reached the 32nd spot in the women’s shot put world rankings, which qualified her for the Olympics, but was not originally included on the T&T roster that was released over the weekend. T&T NAAA petitioned the T&T Olympic Committee to have her added, and the addition was approved today.

The New England Patriots announced the signing of Mac Jones to a four-year contract today, with a standard fifth-year team option. The contract, which is fully-guaranteed, is worth approximately $15.6 million over four years, $8.7 million of which is a signing bonus.

University of Central Florida baseball team announced today that Jeremy Randolph has been hired as the Director of Operations on head coach Greg Lovelady’s staff. Lovelady was Randolph’s manager at Wright State when Randolph began his college career.

Spencer Turnbull threw a bullpen session over the weekend and reported “no problems” afterwards.

Spokane’s KHQ looks at how Blake Sims is picking up the indoor football game. Sims, signed as a backup quarterback for the Spokane Shock, has yet to appear in a game for the Shock.

Washington receivers coach Drew Terrell described Cam Sims as the “glue” of the receivers group.

Brett Auerbach made his home debut with the Eugene Emeralds in grand fashion. He was 3-for-5 with a 3-run homer, 2 doubles, 2 stolen bases, and 6 RBI. Eugene won 9-3.

Merel Van Dongen increased her online presence with the launch of a new website, merelvandongen.com.
