Spencer Turnbull had a setback in his throwing program, and was transferred by Detroit to the 60-Day Injured List today. Turnbull now won’t be eligible to return until August 4 at the earliest.
The City of Oxford, Mississippi announced today that it will host a parade in honor of Shelby McEwen and another Olympian on July 16, as McEwen prepares to leave for Tokyo. McEwen also appears on this week’s GPS Podcast.
Belgium high jumper Claire Orcel will miss out on the Olympics because she fell out of the Top 32 in the world rankings on June 30, which was the last day for determining Olympic qualification. Orcel posted on Instagram the pain of missing out on the Olympics after being so close.
