Both Germany and Canada finalized wheelchair basketball rosters today in advance of the Tokyo Paralympics, and Alabama is well represented on both countries’ rosters. Catharina Weiss, Kate Lang, and Barbara Gross are included on Germany’s women’s team. For Canada, Rosalie Lalonde, Cindy Ouellet, and Arinn Young will play for the women’s team, while Bo Hedges makes a 4th Paralympic appearance on the men’s team.

Sara Revuelta, who is a member of Spain’s women’s wheelchair basketball team, was honored by the town of Tres Cantos today.

Tom Lovelady shot a 62 at the 3M Open Monday qualifier, which was good for 2nd place, and gets him into this week’s tournament. This is Lovelady’s second successful Monday qualifying effort this year. He also Monday Q’ed for the AT&T Byron Nelson back in May.

Tyler Ras signed a pro contract with the Colorado Rockies today. MLB Pipeline reports that the signing bonus for the 14th rounder is $125,000.
