Christian Barmore signed his rookie contract with new England today. Total value of the deal is expected to be approximately $8.5 million over four years, with a signing bonus of $3.5 million.

Haylie McCleney opened her Olympics campaign going 5-6 with a walk and a reached-on-error in 7 plate appearances, as USA won its first two games, 2-0 over Italy and 1-0 over Canada. McCleney scored the lone run in the game versus Canada tonight (July 22 in Japan).
