Amanda Locke was named head softball coach at Birmingham Southern College today. This will be Locke’s first head coaching assignment.

Jalen Hurts had his first media appearance today, as the Philadelphia Eagles opened camp. Hurts addressed what it means to be a leader, and how he’s long been accustomed to having a new play-caller every season. Here’s the entire session.

New York Jet head coach Robert Saleh indicated that Quinnen Williams would be held out of practice for at least another week, as Williams recovers from off-season foot surgery.

Vinnie Sunseri, who spent last season as a defensive analyst for the New England Patriots, appears on the Patriots coaching roster now as running backs coach, indicating that he has received a promotion.
