Remona Burchell didn’t run in Jamaica’s Women’s 4x100m Relay final today, but she still picks up a gold medal by virtue of being part of the relay team in the preliminary round. Jamaica ran a season-best 41.02 seconds to easily win the gold.

The Los Angeles Dodgers announced tonight that Jimmy Nelson will undergo season-ending surgery to repair his ulnar collateral ligament and right flexor tendon. He’ll miss most of the 2022 season as well.

The Las Vegas Raiders announced the signing of free agent Bo Scarbrough today, where he’ll join former Alabama running backs Josh Jacobs, Kenyan Drake, and B.J. Emmons. Scarbrough played in one game for Seattle last season, and suffered a season-ending injury.

Tom Lovelady and Dru Love combined to win the Sault Ste. Marie Pro Invitational 2-Man Best Ball tournament today. The tournament’s stroke play invitational gets underway next week.

Deonte Brown is doing a rookie diary for the Carolina Panthers’ website. In this installment, he talks about wanting to stand out in camp.

Sam Praytor is the latest Alabama baseball draftee to make his professional debut. Praytor was assigned to the FCL Marlins today, and started in the second game of a doubleheader. He was 1-for-2 at the plate and doubled in his first at-bat.

Jimmy Nelson has landed back on the Injured List with right forearm inflammation. Let’s hope it’s not serious!

Nick King has signed with Orlandina Basket of Italy’s A2 Old Wild West League. He’ll join Tevin Mack as a teammate on the Capo D’Orlando-based team.
