Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week – Kirani James (August 9)

Your Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week is Kirani James. James became the first person to reach the finals of the Men’s 400m in three straight Olympics, with a five-year best time of 43.88 seconds in the semifinals, and then earned a bronze medal in the finals. James now has won gold, silver, and bronze in those three Olympics.

Morgan McCullough hit .344 (11-for-32) with 3 HR and 9 RBI, with an OBP of .417 and a slugging percentage of .688.

Sam Gardner gave up 2 runs in 7 innings and struck out 11 batters for Gateway.

Wade LeBlanc gave up 2 runs in a 6-inning start for St. Louis.

Geoffrey Bramblett pitched 6 innings and gave up 1 run for Gateway.
