Justin Thomas shot an opening round 63 (-8) to grab a share of the lead in the first round of The Northern Trust, which is the first leg of the three-event FedEx Cup playoffs. Thomas made an equipment change this week, return to an old putter. Thomas shared a story about being shamed by a 15-year-old as being the impetus for the change.
