News

Alabama thrower Isaac Odugbesan took part in a WWE open tryout in Las Vegas this week, and has been signed by the wrestling organization to a developmental contract. We’ll provide further details as they become available.

Nealy Martin and Racing Louisville won the Women’s Cup tonight in a tight battle against FC Bayern Munich. Martin, seeing her first action in the last four matches, made a successful penalty kick in the 10th frame of the penalty kick tiebreaker, which Louisville would win 7-6 in 11 frames.

Sydney Littlejohn Watkins wrapped up her stint in Italy, as her team, Roef, came away with a bronze medal at the European Premier Cup. Littlejohn finished with a 1.24 ERA in 28.1 IP, striking out 37 while walking only one batter.

Justin Thomas stayed in contention at The Northern Trust, finishing Round 3 at -14, 2 shots back of the co-leaders. Here are his highlights:

Tua Tagovailoa turned in a very productive half of work tonight, going 16-for-23 for 187 yards and a touchdown. Jaylen Waddle injured his knee when a defender rolled into him away from the ball, but he returned after a trip to the locker room. In the same game AJ McCarron suffered a knee injury and did not return.

Josh Jacobs will trade pads and helmet for a coaching headset tonight, as he and several other veterans will help the coaching staff instead of suiting up tonight. Jacobs assesses Alex Leatherwood’s camp performance, among others.

Jedrick Wills expects to be “a lot better” at left tackle in Year 2 in the league.
