Alana Gonçalo da Silva and Ituano completed its 3-game sweep of Blumenau with an 85-77 win today to take its first-ever Liga de Basquete Feminino championship. Ituano finishes the playoff run with three series sweeps. Gonçalo scored 21 points in today’s finale, and was named finals MVP.

An MRI today confirmed that AJ McCarron suffered a torn ACL injury last night, and he’ll miss the entire 2021 season.

Morgan McCullough’s 2-run walk-off double clinched a playoff spot for the Kansas City Monarchs this afternoon. See clip below.

Cobie Vance had his second career 4-hit game today for the Lansing Lugnuts. His previous career-best came with the Beloit Snappers in July 2019.

Polly Mack, Kenzie Wright, Lakareber Abe, and Mia Landegren all successfully advanced to Stage 2 in LPGA / Symetra Tour qualifying this week in Rancho Mirage, California. Mack is playing as an amateur and still have collegiate status at Alabama. Wright is going through qualifying for the first time as a professional. Abe and Landegren are already on the Symetra Tour.
