News

The United States won the Ryder Cup in resounding fashion, defeating Europe 19-9 over the three-day event. Justin Thomas won his singles match today, finishing 2-1-1 in his four sessions, and upping his Ryder Cup career record to 6-2-1. Thomas also spurred on the biggest detente of the weekend – getting Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka to hug after the winning side’s press conference.

Geoffrey Bramblett was traded from last place Gateway to playoff contender Schaumburg in late August, and the trade resulted in a championship for Bramblett today, as Schaumburg won Game 5 of the Frontier League championship series 10-4 today. Bramblett joins Brett Auerbach, Morgan McCullough, and William Freeman in winning playoff championships this month (Tyler Ras’ ACL Rockies team was the regular season champion of the Arizona Complex League, and the league does not have a playoff).

Najee Harris was targeted in the passing game an astounding 19 times, which is the 2nd most targets a running back has received since the stat was first kept in 1992. Harris finished with 14 catches for 102 yards.

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, elevated from the Las Vegas practice squad for Week 3, appeared in his first NFL game since the 2019 season today.
