News
The Dallas vs. New England game (won by Dallas in overtime) had all sorts of Alabama flavor. For Dallas, Trevon Diggs recorded his 7th interception of the season, becoming just the 2nd player in NFL history to record 7 interceptions in his first six games. Diggs’ INT, return for a touchdown, briefly gave Dallas a late 4th quarter lead. On the New England side, Mac Jones completed 71.4 percent of his passes, threw 2 touchdowns, and beat Diggs on a deep route to reclaim a New England lead. Damien Harris also ran for 101 yards and a touchdown for New England.
Three Alabama players scored 4 touchdowns for Las Vegas, as the Raiders beat Denver 34-24. Henry Ruggs, who had 97 receiving yards, scored early on a 48 yard pass play. Kenyan Drake would score on both a passing play and a run, and Josh Jacobs would add a rushing touchdown as well.
Tua Tagovailoa threw for 329 yards and 2 touchdowns and Jaylen Waddle had a season-high 70 receiving yards in a last-second loss by Miami.
All told, Alabama alumni have 11 touchdowns in Week 6, which equals the most ever by Alabama players in a single week (previous record came in 2018 Week 14). Touchdowns and other highlights are below.
Justin Thomas led the field at the CJ Cup with 29 birdies, but only finished T-18th. Too many bogeys!.
