Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week – Jaylen Waddle (November 29)

Your Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week is Jaylen Waddle. Waddle caught 9 passes for a career-best 137 yards and a touchdown in Miami’s 33-10 win over Carolina. Waddle amassed 119 yards in the first half while the game was still close, scoring one TD and setting up another with a 57 yard reception.

Runner-up this week is Patrick Surtain II. On consecutive 4th quarter drives, Surtain intercepted passes in field goal range to stop Charger drives. The first was in the end zone for a touchback, and the second INT was returned 70 yards for a Denver touchdown.

Mac Jones threw for a career-best 310 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead New England to its 6th straight win.

Tua Tagovailoa completed a career-best 87.1 percent (27-for-31) of his passes and threw for 230 yards in Miami’s win over Carolina. Tagovailoa is just the 4th quarterback in NFL history to complete at least 80 percent of his passes in back-to-back games with at least 30 attempts.

Xavier McKinney had 15 tackles over two games (7 in Week 11 Monday night, 8 in Week 12) and intercepted a pass in New York’s Week 12 win.

Ronnie Harrison had a career-best 14 tackles and intercepted a pass for Cleveland.

Marlon Humphrey had 8 tackles and defended 2 passes in Baltimore’s win.

Josh Jacobs had 112 yards from scrimmage (87 rushing and 25 receiving) and a rushing touchdown in a Las Vegas win.

C.J. Mosley had 8 tackles and a defended pass in a Jets win.

Quinnen Williams had 4 tackles and a sack in the Jets win.

Kira Lewis had a 10 point, 5 assist game off the bench in a New Orleans win, and also had another 10 point game (1-1 2pg, 2-2 3pg, 2-2 FT) in another Pelicans win.

Herbert Jones had a 7 rebound, 3 assist, 4 steal game in a New Orleans win.

Ricky Tarrant had an 11 point, 11 assist game in a Ramat Gan win.

Retin Obasohan lead Belgium to 2 World Cup qualifier wins, averaging 11.0 points, 3.5 rebound, 4.5 assists, and 1.5 steals in the 2 wins.

Trevor Lacey had 22 points and 6 rebounds for Udine.

Tony Mitchell had 23 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals in his Taiwan Beer debut.

Oceana Hamilton had 12 points and 18 rebounds in Leicester’s win.

Cierra Johnson had 34 points in Riva Basket’s win.

Saketh Myneni won his 24th career doubles title in Gurugram, India.
