News

The NFL announced its annual team nominees for its prestigious Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award, and former Alabama players Jonathan Allen, Bradley Bozeman, Derrick Henry, and Quinnen Williams are all nominated by their respective teams for the award. Allen and Bozeman are nominated for a second consecutive year, while Henry and Williams are first-time nominees. See our separate post on this year’s honorees.

Miller Forristall has been signed by the Cleveland Browns to the active 53-man roster. Forristall was originally signed to the Browns practice squad in late September. He was elevated from the practice squad for Week 9, but was left inactive for that week’s game.

Wilson Furr was interviewed for a Golf Channel piece on the expenses and pitfalls associated with launching a professional golf career.

Mark McMillian spoke to a group of Philadelphia youth about street violence and his personal story of growing up in Southern California.
