News

The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that guard Kira Lewis will be out indefinitely after suffering a torn ACL and a Grade 2 MCL sprain in his right knee. Lewis suffered the injury in the second quarter of last night’s game, and an MRI after the game confirmed the extent of the injury.

Janie Jackson aced the 4th hole at the 5th round of Q Series today.

Nominations for another NFL award were announced today, and Alabama was once again well-represented. C.J. Mosley, Landon Collins, Derrick Henry, Patrick Surtain II all received their respective team’s nomination for the Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award. The award is presented each year to an NFL player who best demonstrates the qualities of on-field sportsmanship, including fair play, respect for the game and opponents, and integrity in competition. A selection committee will pick 8 finalists from the 32 team nominees, and players around the league will vote on the winner from the 8 finalists.
