Deshea Townsend has been hired as defensive backs coach for the Minnesota Vikings. Townsend most recently served on the Chicago Bears’ staff in the same capacity, and has also coached with the New York Giants and Tennessee Titans.

Kyle Moore did a Q&A with Rich Dubroff of Baltimore Baseball to discuss his recent promotion to managing the Orioles’ Double A affiliate, as well as his time coaching in the Oriole organization.

Derrick Henry, in Los Angeles for the NFL Honors ceremony, spoke about the premature end to the Titans season.

Pauline Davis-Thompson’s book Running Sideways is out this week. Davis chronicles her rise from her modest Bahamian roots (where she went from carrying pails to bring fresh water to her family) to becoming a track & field Olympic champion.
