Lakareber Abe won the John Shippen Women’s Shootout on Monday, which earns her a sponsor’s exemption into the Cognizant Founder’s Cup this week. This will mark Abe’s first LPGA event. Abe will be one of seven Alabama alumnae in the field for this week’s event.

Justin Coleman has been named Assistant Director of Player Development for the University of Tennessee’s men’s basketball program. Coleman most recently served on John Pelphrey’s staff at Tennessee Tech as Director of Basketball Operations.

Media Appearances

Justin Thomas made the media rounds today, appearing on the Pat McAfee Show (2:06 on the YouTube clip) and ESPN, as well as doing a PGA Tour presser in advance of this weekend’s AT&T Byron Nelson.

Bo Scarbrough and Trent Richardson both gave updates on their continuing professional careers on The Bama Standard last night.

Lauren Stephenson appeared on the latest episode of the Getting Off Course podcast.

Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman gets jokingly called out by his team owner for not drafting more Alabama guys.
