Levi Randolph and Filou Oostende won the Belgian National Championship today with a 3-1 finals win over Kangoeroes Basket Mechelen. Oostende has now won 11 straight Belgian titles, though it’s the first with Randolph on the squad. Oostende will now compete for the BNXT League championship.

Ashley Priess-Johnston was formally introduced at the Head Gymnastics Coach at Alabama today.

Dylan Smith continued his solid work tonight, pitching 6 scoreless innings, allowing just 1 hit and 1 walk and striking out 7. The 6 innings is the longest outing of Smith’s career, and the 7 strikeouts is also a career high. Smith threw 64 pitches, 46 for strikes. Smith’s last 4 starts – 21 IP, 1 ER, 11 H, 1 BB, 15 K

Emma Talley finished 2-0-1 in round robin play to advance to the knockout phase at the Bank of Hope LPGA Match Play in Las Vegas. Talley defeated Lauren Stephenson 5 & 3 today. Talley is the only Alabama golfer to advance.

Justin Thomas missed the cut today at the Charles Schwab Challenge, marking his first missed cut in 53 weeks. Thomas last missed a cut at the 2021 PGA Championship. His streak of 21 straight cuts made was the longest current streak on the tour.

Community Outreach

Daron Payne announced plans to host a football camp on July 7 at Shades Valley High School in Birmingham. Alabama Kidney Foundation is partnering with Payne to host the event.
