Retin Obasohan was named to the All-Winner League First Team at today’s awards ceremony in Israel.


Saketh Myneni won his fifth doubles title of 2022, and the 29th title of his career, at the ATP Challenger event in Prostejov, Czech Republic. Myneni and doubles partner Yuki Bhambri beat the 3-seed in the quarterfinals, the 1-seed in the semifinals, and the 2-seed in the finals.
Jalen Hurts opened his media availability today with a strong statement about recent mass shootings around the country. On the field, Hurts had a strong day today throwing to DeVonta Smith, who had two long receptions in 7×7 drills.
Justin King, who spent the 2019 season at Alabama as an infielder/outfielder, has been signed by the Milwaukee Brewers organization – as a pitcher. King finished his eligibility at Louisiana-Monroe last year after sitting out 2020, and converted to pitching midway through the season. The Florence Y’alls of the independent Frontier League signed him in early April after a tryout. The Brewers purchased King’s contract from Florence today.
Sam Praytor has been activated by the Jupiter Hammerheads (Single-A). Praytor has been sidelined with a wrist injury after being hit by a pitch during the first week of the Florida State League season. The Hammerheads had a double-header rained out tonight.
Houston Texans linebacker Christian Kirksey says that rookie teammate Christian Harris is a “sponge” in the way he’s absorbing knowledge on the field and in meetings.
Robby Shelton shot a 63 (-8) in second round play at the Rex Hospital Open to move into a tie for 2nd place at the halfway mark. Davis Shore’s 2nd straight 66 at the Victoria Open has him at -8, T3, 2 strokes behind the leader. At the Memorial Tournament, Davis Riley, -1 today, sits at T4, 2 shots back.
