ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that the Denver Nuggets plan to trade JaMychal Green to the Oklahoma City Thunder in a cap-driven move. The Nuggets would send Green and a protected 2027 first-round pick to the Thunder for the Thunder’s 2022 first-round pick (30th overall) and two future second-round picks. Green has a player option for the 2022-23 season at $8.2 million, which he is expected to exercise. Assuming the exercise, Denver was in a luxury tax situation, and the deal will enable to free up space, while Oklahoma City has over $31 million in cap space and needs to reach the minimum salary level.
