Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week – Robby Shelton (June 13)

Your Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week is Robby Shelton. Shelton won the BMW Charity Pro-Am on the second playoff hole for his 3rd career Korn Ferry Tour win. Shelton moves up to 14th in KFT Top 25, with 7 events left, in his quest to regain his PGA Tour card.

Kirani James won the Men’s 400 Meter at the Diamond League meet in Rome.

Alex Amankwah qualified for the world championships by winning a Men’s 800 Meter event at a meet in Maryland in a season-best 1:44.97.

Olivia Fotopoulou won the Women’s 200 Meter at the Championships of the Small States of Europe.

Tamara Clark finished 2nd in the Women’s 200 Meter at the New York City Grand Prix in a season-best 22.62 seconds.

Quanesha Burks finished 2nd in the Women’s Long Jump at the FBK Games in the Netherlands, and 3rd with a season-best 6.77 meters at the Diamond League meet in Rome.

Justin Thomas finished 3rd at the RBC Canadian Open.

Davis Riley qualified for the US Open by finishing 3rd at a sectional qualifier.

Tyler Gentry extended his hitting streak to 7 games by going 6-for-14 with a homer, a double, 5 walks, and 3 RBI.

Morgan McCullough was 7-for-16 with 5 walks.

Sam Praytor was 4-for-13 with 2 walks in his return from the Injured List.

Donta Hall had a 9 rebound game and a 12 point game to help Monaco advance to the French LNB Pro A championship series.
