The Pittsburgh Steelers held a press conference today (see below) to announce the signing of Minkah Fitzpatrick to a four-year contract extension. Fitzpatrick said that the new deal was “surreal,” and that what has impressed him most about Pittsburgh is its commitment to winning. Fitzpatrick also said that it was important to him to be around the team during OTAs earlier this month, even if he wasn’t fully participating while the extension was being negotiated.
For the second time in as many weeks, Kirani James won the Men’s 400 Meter at a Diamond League event. James crossed the line first in Oslo today in in 44.78 seconds in a race run in wet conditions.
Justin Thomas shot an opening round 69 (-1) at the U.S Open, which has him at T14.
Polly Mack made her professional debut today at the Epson Tour stop in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Mack birdied her first hole, and finished even par on the day.
