Your Alabama Pro Athletes of the Week are Quanesha Burks, Daniel Haugh, and Shelby McEwen. The trio each won USATF Outdoor Champions this week with a mark equaling or better their previous personal bests. Burks won the Women’s Long Jump with a 7.06 meter jump, her first-ever jump over 7 meters. Haugh broke the 80 meter mark for the first time in the Men’s Hammer Throw with a throw of 80.18 meters. McEwen cleared 2.33 meters in the Men’s High Jump, equaling his personal best.
