National track & field championships concluded today, with more Alabama alums winning championship or earning podiums. In Oregon, Shelby McEwen matched a career-best 2.33 meters to win the Men’s High Jump for his first USATF title. Tamara Clark won her semifinal heat, then finished 2nd in the finals of the Women’s 200 Meter. She posted a personal best as well. Elsewhere, Jereem Richards broke a five-year personal best with a 19.83 second effort in the Men’s 200 Meter to win the Trinidad & Tobago national championship. In Cyprus, Olivia Fotopoulou ran a personal-best 23.25 seconds to win the Women’s 200 Meter, giving her a sweep of the 100 Meter and 200 Meter events. Natassha McDonald, who earlier in the weekend took 3rd in the Women’s 400 Meter, won the Women’s 200 Meter at the Canadian championships.
Jiwon Jeon held on for solo second place at the Epson Tour’s Island Resort Championship, marking her best career finish. On the LPGA Tour, Stephanie Meadow’s T-10 finish at the Women’s PGA Championship equaled her best finish of the year, and was her best finish in a major since finishing 3rd in the US Women’s Open in 2014.

Community Outreach
David Palmer and Sherman Williams, through their Palmer Williams Group, hosted their 9th annual youth camp in Pritchard, Alabama this weekend. Other former Crimson Tiders who were camp instructors included Christopher Edwards, Brad Ford, Pierre Goode, and Victor Lockett.

Jerry Jeudy hosted a football camp at Pat Bowlen Fieldhouse today.
