Daily Recap – June 30, 2022

News

NBA free agency signing period officially opened today for Collin Sexton and others. Sexton is rumored to be seeking more than $20 million a season, while Cleveland has reportedly offered a 3-year, $51 million deal. Since Sexton is a restricted free agent and is coming off an injury year, Cleveland has most of the leverage in the negotiations, though Anfernee Simons’ 4-year, $100 million deal might set a higher market for Sexton.

Alexa Guarachi (seeded 7th and partnered with Andreja Klepec) and Erin Routliffe (seeded 11th and partnered with Alicja Rosolska) both had straight-set opening round win at Wimbledon today. For Routliffe, it was her first career win at Wimbledon in three matches.

Bo Scarbrough is being praised by Birmingham Stallions players and coaches for his leadership.
