Sampaio Basquete swept the Liga de Basquete Feminino championship series 3-0 today, giving Alana Gonçalo da Silva her second straight Brazilian championship ring. Alana also won the LBF title last season with Ituano Basquete.

Quanesha Burks won the Women’s Long Jump at the NACAC Championships in the Bahamas today with a jump of 6.75 meters

Celia Jiménez Delgado scored her second goal of the season to help propel the Orlando Pride to a 2-1 lead tonight. Celia’s goal, which opened the scoring at the 49′ mark, came when she recovered a ball from a scrum in front of the net.

Haylie McCleney’s team today scored an Athletes Unlimited record 20 runs today. Individually, McCleney has moved into the lead on the individual points scoreboard with 1,316 points, a lead of 84 points over second play. The season has 4 games remaining.

Connor Prielipp, though currently on the roster of the Florida Complex League Twins, reportedly won’t pitch until the instructional league this fall. That will defer his professional debut to next spring.

Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com reports that the Cleveland Cavaliers have had ongoing sign-and-trade discussions with respect to Collin Sexton with the Dallas Mavericks.

Minkah Fitzpatrick has his sights set on Defensive Player of the Year contention.
