News

The Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles held the first of two joint practices today, effectively reuniting Tua Tagovailoa and Jalen Hurts. Afterwards, Tagovailoa was asked about Hurts during his media availability, and said “He never wants to be last. That should tell you a lot about him.” Tagovailoa also said that the two exchange messages frequently.

The Philadelphia Inquirer asks Eagles backup quarterback Reid Sinnett, who spent time with the Miami Dolphins last year, to compare the leadership styles of Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa.

With Cleveland’s starting quarterback Deshaun Watson suspended for 11 games, Amari Cooper is developing good chemistry with temporary starter Jacoby Brissett.

Quinnen Williams (from head coach Robert Saleh) and Pat Surtain II (from teammate K.J. Hamler) both got supreme compliments during media sessions today.

Former Alabama Football player Mario Morris is leaving his post as deputy director of athletics at Notre Dame to join the NCAA’s offices. Morris will serve as vice-president of administration and chief financial officer of the NCAA.

Tommy Hunter reportedly threw a live batting practice session today for the New York Mets, who have an off-day. Hunter returned from his rehab assignment last weekend, but wasn’t activated when eligible last Sunday.
