Retin Obasohan and Belgium pulled a major upset today in the group play segment of the FIBA Eurobasket European Championship. Belgium knocked off defending FIBA World Cup champions Spain 83-73, marking the first time since 1961 that Belgium has beaten Spain in a European championship game. Obasohan had 11 points for Belgium today.

Alexa Guarachi bowed out of the US Open today after a 3-set loss in the doubles Round of 16.
