News

Ryan Anderson finally is getting another NFL opportunity, as he was signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers to its practice squad today. Anderson, who spent his four seasons in Washington, signed with the New York Giants as a free agent for the 2021 season, but was released at the end of training camp. Anderson had been out of football since then.

Tony Brown made enough of an impression on Sunday to be signed to the Indianapolis Colts’ 53-man roster today. Brown, who originally made the 53-man at the end of camp, was released the day after rosters were set and signed to the practice squad. Brown was elevated to the active roster for Week 1, and reverted back to the practice squad yesterday. He was promoted to the active roster as part of a wave of transactions made by the Colts today.

Da’Shawn Hand’s 2022 season comes to a premature end. He suffered a torn quad muscle early in Sunday’s game, and was placed on Injured Reserve by the Tennessee Titans today. Hand was injured on his second snap of the game on Sunday.

Appearing on Adam Schein’s radio show today, Najee Harris said that he’ll be practicing this week and will play Week 2. Harris injured his ankle during Week 1.
