Your Alabama Pro Athlete of the Week is Cobie Fletcher-Vance. Vance had a grand slam and 5 RBI in the deciding game of the Southern League championship series to give the Pensacola Blue Wahoos the league title. Vance sparked come-from-behind wins in back-to-back elimination games to lead Pensacola. In Game 2, he tied the game with a late RBI, then scored the go-ahead run. In the deciding Game 3, his grand slam in the 5th erased a 3-2 deficit. Vance was 4-for-9 with 6 RBI in the final two games.
Runner-up this week is Josh Jacobs. The Las Vegas Raiders rode Jacobs to its first win of the season by giving him 84% of the team’s touches.
