Washington head coach Ron Rivera said today that Brian Robinson will be designated to return to practice on Wednesday, opening the 21-day window in which the Commanders would have to remove him from the Non-Football Injury list.

Landon Collins made a scheduled visit with the New York Giants today. Collins, a free agent since being released by Washington last month in a salary cap move, was originally drafted by the Giants.

With the Phillies win tonight to clinch the final NL wild-card berth, David Robertson is going to the MLB post-season for the 8th time in his career. Previous trips were 2009-2012 Yankees, 2017-2018 Yankees, and 2021 Rays.

Advanced stat metrics may not love Trevon Diggs, but his presence in Dallas’ dominant defense has the love and respect of teammates and some former players.

On the strength on a semifinal run in a top-tier ATP event last week, Saketh Myneni jumps to 89th in the ATP doubles rankings. That’s a career best for Myneni.

Levi Randolph celebrated his 30th birthday by leading Hapoel Jerusalem to a win in its first game of the Champions League season. Randolph, who had 13 points and 4 assists, tied the game at 65-65, then assisted on a 3-pointer that gave Hapoel its final lead.

John Metchie appears in an early cancer detection public service announcement piece for the NFL. The PSA aired on games this past weekend.

Media Appearances

A couple of national media appearances of note tonight. Jalen Hurts appeared in the second quarter of the Manning Cast, the alternate broadcast of Monday Night Football. Justin Thomas was scheduled to appear on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Sydney Littlejohn Watkins appears on the latest episode of the Outside the Chute podcast.
