In Memorium – Davis Heller
Former Alabama infielder Davis Heller has passed away at the age of 22. As reported in a statement issued by the North Greenville University baseball program, Heller died in his off-campus apartment from what appear to be natural causes, though an investigation is still underway. Heller joined the Alabama baseball program prior to the 2021 season from South Mountain Community College in his native Arizona, and spent two seasons in Tuscaloosa. Heller transferred to Division 2 defending national champions North Greenville this offseason to complete his eligibility.
Heller, at 6’8″, was a gentle giant who was immensely popular among his teammates, and will be sorely missed. Our prayers go out to his parents, D.J. and Melanie, and his sisters Brianna, Lindsey, and Jenna, as well as all his friends and teammates whose lives were touched by him.
