News

Mac Jones reportedly took 90 percent of the snaps in practice today, indicating that he’ll start again this coming week for New England, ending speculation that’s been in overdrive since Monday night’s game. For his par, Jones wouldn’t say that he’s been told that he’s starting, but that he has always approached every game as if he was starting.

Injuries are piling up among Alabama’s NBA contingency. With Kira Lewis yet to be cleared for full basketball activities and Herb Jones missing yesterday’s game with a knee contusion, Josh Primo and Collin Sexton joined the injured ranks. Primo missed tonight’s Spurs game with left glute spasms. Sexton left tonight’s Jazz game in the first half with an oblique contusion and did not return.

At his regular press conference today, Detroit head coach Dan Campbell indicated that Jameson Williams is at least a month away from being able to play. Williams has spent all season on the Non-Football Injury list following his knee injury in last year’s college football playoff championship game.

A Detroit reporter caught up with Saivion Smith to discuss his health following last month’s injury that led to Smith being hospitalized. Smith said that there were about 20 seconds where he couldn’t move on the field or talk. Smith said that he’ll be having disk surgery next month and will then prepare for 2023.

Biggest takeaway from Tua Tagovailoa’s weekly press appearance (see below) – Tagovailoa said his coaches told him they don’t ever want him to lower his head or shoulder for extra yards like he did Sunday night.

Bradley Bozeman waited his turn, and now will be the starting center for Carolina for the rest of the season.

Justin Thomas recounts the time he took some batting practice swings against Max Scherzer.

David Magadan won’t be returning to the Colorado Rockies as the hitting coach next season. The organization announced that Magadan and the team mutually agreed to part ways.
