Former Alabama track athlete Sydney Milani took another step in her quest to represent the United States as part of the bobsled team. Milani competed in her first bobsled event last week in Utah.
The LPGA Q-Series – the tour’s 8-round final stage of qualifying – got underway in Mobile today. Six former Alabama golfers (Lakareber Abe, Kristen Gillman, Janie Jackson, Jiwon Jeon, Polly Mack, and Kenzie Wright) are in the 100-woman field. The Top 20 finishers plus ties will have Category 14 status on the 2023 LPGA Tour, while the next tier of spots through 45th plus ties will have conditional Category 15 status. All other golfers will be eligible for the Epson Tour next year.
