Kensey McMahon won a bronze medal in the Women’s 1500m Freestyle at the FINA Short Course World Championship in Australia today. It’s McMahon’s first medal in global competition.
Josh Jacobs was named a permanent team captain for the Las Vegas Raiders today. Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels said that the addition was mandated by the previously-named captains as a reward to Jacobs for the work he’s put in this season.
McDaniels also gave a scouting report on Mac Jones to the Las Vegas media, and was effusive in his praise of Jones.
Eddie Jackson reported on Twitter that he will not need surgery on his foot injury suffered last month. He should be ready to resume activity by next year’s training camp.
Landon Collins will reportedly be elevated to the active roster for the New York Giants’ game against Washington on Sunday night. If Collins is indeed elevated from the practice squad this weekend, it will be his third and final standard elevation of the season. He would have to be signed to the active roster in order to be brought up again after this weekend.
Jerry Jeudy was reportedly fined a total of $36,281 for unsportsmanlike conduct in last week’s loss to Kansas City — $23,020 for making contact with a game official, plus $13,261 for removing his helmet.

Cade Foster was sworn in today as the new McCracken County Attorney, two weeks before he was slated to take office.
