News

Josh Jacobs wrapped up the NFL rushing title with 1,653 yards, with Derrick Henry finishing second with 1,538 yards. It marks the first time that running backs from same school have finished 1-2 in rushing yardage since Clinton Portis and Edgerrin James did so in 2007. Jacobs (2,053 yards) and Henry (1,936 yards) would also finish in the Top 2 in the NFL in yards from scrimmage.

Jalen Hurts returned from a shoulder injury to lead Philadelphia to a 22-16 win over the New York Giants to wrap up the top seed in the NFC. The Eagles finished the regular season with a 14-3 record.

Jerry Jeudy had single-game career bests in receiving yards (154), rushing yards (39), and yards from scrimmage (193) in Denver’s win. Jeudy finished the season with a career-best 972 receiving yards, despite missing 2 games and the majority of 3 others with injuries.

J.K. Scott had his best day of the season, with 4 of his punts (60 yds twice, 58 yds, and 56 yds) being his longest 4 punts of the season. Scott’s previous long punt of the season was 55 yards. Scott finishes the season yielding a league-low 58 return yards all year (next closest was 145 yds).

Najee Harris ran for 84 yards today, and went over the 1,000 yard mark for the second straight year. He becomes the first player in Pittsburgh franchise history to rush for 1,000 or more yards in his first two seasons. Harris also had his second straight season with 10 touchdowns.

Jereem Richards was named 2022 Men’s Athlete of the Year by the Caribbean-based National Association of Athletics Administrations.
