Reyna Reyes was drafted with the fifth overall pick in the NWSL Draft by defending champions Portland Thorns FC. Reyes becomes the highest-ever draftee from the University of Alabama. In the third round of the draft, Riley Tanner and Riley Mattingly Parker were picked with back-to-back picks. Tanner was selected by Washington Spirit with the 6th pick in the 3rd round (30th overall), and was followed with Parker being picked with the 31st pick by Racing Louisville FC. The trio are the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Alabama players selected in the history of the NWSL Draft, which dates back to 2013 (Celia Jiménez Delgado was selected 36th overall in the 2018 draft).

Tua Tagovailoa has been named Polynesian Pro Football’s Co-Player of the Year.
Collin Sexton told reporters today that he’ll be back in Utah’s lineup tomorrow night. Sexton said trainers pushed his hamstring pretty hard this week, and he’s good to go.
Jaden Shackelford posted new career highs in points (34) and 3-point goals (8) in Oklahoma City’s win tonight. Shackelford had 28 points and 7 threes in the first half.
