News

Saketh Myneni and partner Yuki Bhambri were rewarded for yesterday’s doubles title at the Bangkok Challenger with a trip to the Australian Open. The pair were third alternates going into the weekend, and were given a wildcard entry into the doubles draw. The event will be Myneni’s second-ever Grand Slam, and his first in the men’s double draw (he advanced to the 2016 US Open singles draw via qualifying).

Sydney Milani competed in her first international competition as a bobsledder today, finishing 9th in the 2-Woman Bobsleigh at the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation’s Junior World Championships in Winterberg, Germany. Milani ran track at Alabama in 2019-2021, specializing in 400 meter and 800 meter events.

Xavier McKinney recorded 8 tackles and a defended pass in the New York Giant’s 31-24 playoff win over the Minnesota Vikings. McKinney stopped Viking tight end T.J. Hockenson short of a first down on a fourth down play on Minnesota’s last possession to seal the game.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Tua Tagovailoa is expected to return as Miami’s starter in 2023. The report is not particularly surprises, given that Tagovailoa is still under contract in 2023. The bigger question is likely whether or not Miami will exercise Tagovailoa’s 5th year option in the offseason.

  • Tua Tagovailoa – deactivated for Wild Card Weekend by the Miami Dolphins.
