Saketh Myneni and partner Yuki Bhambri won the doubles championship at the ATP Challenger event in Girona, Spain. The win marks Saketh Myneni’s 34th career doubles title, and his 16th on the ATP Challenger Tour. It’s his second doubles championship of 2023. Myneni has now won 11 titles partnered with Yuki Bhambri (7 Challenger titles), including his last nine wins.
Spencer Turnbull took the mound today for the first time since June 4, 2021, as he has been rehabilitating his arm after elbow surgery. Turnbull looked rusty, and was done in by a rough third inning.
Reyna Reyes made her professional debut today as a member of the Portland Thorns. Reyes entered the game at the 90-minute mark and played approximately 6 minutes of extra time.
