After another lackluster start yesterday, Spencer Turnbull was optioned by the Detroit Tigers to Triple-A Toledo to get back on track. Turnbull is 1-4 with a 7.26 ERA in 7 starts in his return from elbow surgery, and has only pitched into the 6th inning in 3 starts.
Kenzie Wright posted a career-best T-9th finish at the Garden City Charity Classic. Wright’s previous best finish on the Epson Tour was T-20th last season.
Annika Zeyen captured gold in the road race at the latest UCI Paracycling World Cup event in Belgium. She won bronze in the time trials earlier in the event. Zeyen is now the overall points leader in the UCI World Cup standings.
