John and Brodie Croyle were honored with the President’s Award at the Alabama Sports Writers Association annual convention on Sunday night at Jacksonville State University. John Croyle founded Big Oak Ranch, a home for abandoned, neglected, or abused children shortly after his playing career ended, and his son Brodie now serves as the organization’s executive director. Big Oak Ranch has served over 2,000 children since its inception.
Shelby Gibson has been hired by Memphis University to serve as the assistant director of operations for the women’s basketball program.
