Quanesha Burks jumped a wind-legal career-best 6.98 meters on her first jump, and held on to win the Women’s Long Jump at the Diamond League event in London. It was Burks’ first win in a Diamond League event.
Galin Smith and the Canterbury Rams upset the Auckland Tuatara to win the New Zealand NBL championship. Canterbury won 4 games in 4 days in the single-elimination bracket.
Olivia Fotopoulou won a gold medal in the Women’s 200 Meter at the Balkan Senior Athletics Championships today. Fotopoulou picked up a silver yesterday in the Women’s 100 Meter. Her sister Filippa Fotopoulou Kviten also won a silver medal, in the Women’s Long Jump.
