Riley Tanner became just the third former Alabama player to appear in a Women’s World Cup match when she entered Panama’s game today as a substitute in the second half. Tanner had a shot on goal during Panama’s loss to Brazil.

Herb Jones has been named to the 2023 USA Men’s Select Team. The Men’s Select Team Select Team that will train with the USA Basketball Men’s National Team as it prepares for the 2023 FIBA Men’s World Cup. Practices will take place August 3-6 in Las Vegas.

Abby Bauleke, Ixhelt Gonzalez, Bailey Moody, and Lindsey Zurbrugg have been named to the US Women’s Wheelchair Basketball team for the 2023 Parapan American Games. Onetime Alabama teammate Emily Oberst was also named to the team.

Spencer Turnbull will begin a rehab assignment this week with the West Michigan Whitecaps of the Midwest League. Turnbill will pitch two innings on Tuesday and three innings on Sunday.
