The Portland Thorns announced today that it has signed Reyna Reyes to a contract extension through the 2026 season. Reyes was drafted in the first round by Portland, and is in her rookie year with the team.

The Omaha Storm Chasers announced the team’s annual awards for the 2023 season before its final home game of the season yesterday, and Tyler Gentry was recognized as the team’s Hitter of the Year. Gentry enters the final week of the season leading the team in home runs (15), runs batted in (69), hits (115), doubles (27), extra-base hits (44), total bases (191), runs scored (66) and walks (79), while also ranking sixth in the International league in walks.
Minkah Fitzpatrick suffered a chest injury in tonight’s game, and was taken to a local hospital. Further details should be available tomorrow.
Pressed into a bigger role due to the injury to Cleveland starter Nick Chubb, Jerome Ford responded with 106 rushing yards, another 25 receiving yards, and his first career touchdown. Primarily a kick returner during his rooking season, Ford had 48 career rushing yards coming into tonight’s game.
Both Ryan Kelly and Jaylen Waddle begin Week 3 in concussion protocol, as reported by their respective coaches and press conferences today.
