Maude Jacques, who won national championships at Alabama in both wheelchair basketball and wheelchair tennis, died suddenly this past weekend. She was 31. In addition to her time at Alabama, Jacques was a member of the Canadian national team, winning an IWBF world title in 2014 and a Para Pan-Am gold medal in 2019. She participated in the 2012 Paralympics and three Para Pan-Am Games.
Abby Bauleke, Erin Buckles, Ixhelt Gonzalez, Bailey Moody, and Moira Paulus were all part of the United States team that won the IWBF U-25 championship today in Thailand. Gonzalez was named tournament MVP.
